My wish for all of you is that you have friends like mine and that you use them to share joys and sorrows, rough roads and smooth.
On with the journey,
Carolyn
| It's probably been hotter then usual this summer where you are too. I found these factoids on line: 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated... In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as much as 3%. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of Washington Study. Lack of water, is the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain by up to 80% of sufferers. A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.

Dear Lucinda and Staff,

I finished the program in January. After about 3 weeks into the program I started noticing a change in myself. I started noticing a change in myself, mentally and physically. After the fifth week my co-workers started noticing the difference. The mental cloud and the strange anxious feelings that I had for almost a year lifted after about the 6th week. Before the program these feelings were constant 24-7.
I always had slight depression and anxiety ever since I was a child. It seemed like I always had a headache, sometimes too the point where I would get sick. The doc said it was classic migraines- since I finished the program NO headache.
Every thing came to a breaking point in November of 2003. I fell and received a concussion. After that it was all down hill. After almost a year of dealing with severe anxiety and depression and those awful panic attacks, I was able to free myself of all of this through the Midwest Center's program...(took some medication and saw doctor and counselor).
After finishing the program I didn't need to see the psychologist any more. In his words, "This program helped you more than I could of. Keep doing what you are doing and have a wonderful life."
It's been six months since I finished the program. Life couldn't be better. In the six months after I finished the program I had a couple of growth spurts, but now that I know and understand what it is – they don't bother me. And like it said in the program, the more you have the less intense they are. Now I just laugh at them and they go away, "Thoughts only thoughts."
I went through the program a second time just in case I missed something. I recommend this because I missed more than what I thought. Just because of the state of mind that I was in the first time through.
LIFE IS GOOD, thanks be to God and the program,
Patrick Carameli
