Most of us have children to heal. When we are able to take the 5 year old that was so scared of the adults in her life, on our lap and hold her, comfort her, promise her that we will protect and care for her, and explain that she will never be alone again, we will go a long way toward becoming the whole, healthy being we were meant to be.
"...a healed child within creates an adult able to love and be loved." The Woman's Book of Courage, by Sue Tholele
Tholele suggests that we think about how our wounded, inner child might respond to a teddy bear for example. How might holding a stuffed animal during times when someone, something, pokes the wounded child up to the surface, bring about a sense of security? She suggests that we gently encourage the child to walk toward us, in a visualization, that we get to know this child and help her to feel safe.
We have the power to change the old tapes in our head. We have the power to heal ourselves with positive, truthful statements. We can choose to be the kind of parents to ourselves that we've always wanted. You want more loving attention? Give it to yourself. You want more affirmation of your goodness? Give it to yourself... Lesson three goes a long way toward helping us make the changes that lead to our inner health.
Let the healing begin,
Carolyn
Dear Midwest Center,
I had a wonderful experience recently...now that the new infomercial has been showing I've become somewhat of a local celebrity. I've had lots of folks say are you on TV?
Mary Jones and her husband
A good friend told me about his girlfriend and her problems with anxiety. I told him about the program and about Lucinda. He said are you sure this works? I said you know me, how honest I am. I wouldn't go on TV and tell people about this if it didn't save my life.
He went to (bookstore) and bought FROM PANIC TO POWER. I gave him the web address for the MWC. His update for me was, "Thank you so much she is only on page 30 of the book and she says it's already helping."
I just wanted to share that...the only thing I wanted to come out of doing the infomercial was that I wanted one person's life to be improved, just one person to be helped by me-that's happened.
