Doris Nehrbass"My program arrived on my doorstep the week of 9/11. I had anxiety before, I really had it then. The relaxation tape helped me get through the immediate period after the attack and then I started listening to the tapes and going through the workbook."

What I want to tell others: "That fear of losing your mind does not mean you actually are losing your mind. Nor do scary thoughts mean that you're crazy or that you will act on the thoughts. They're just thoughts!"

Doris Nehrbass, AZ

Laurie Esposito"I used to get so overwhelmed, so quickly, and now after the program I can handle myself so much more effectively. When my father died last Christmas Eve I dealt with it much better than I thought I would. It was hard but I had much less anxiety and depression than I thought I would have.

So much was helpful but positive self-talk was key. The more you turn around your negative thinking into positive thoughts the less anxious and more happy you'll be."

Laurie Esposito, AZ

Bill Thomas"The program helped me control my lifelong fear of dying and 50 years of anxiety attacks that were created by my fear as a child of polio. My fear that I had polio and could not move caused me to make jerky movements to prove to myself that I was still able. (Can you imagine what going through school was like for Bill?)

The entire program was helpful. The tapes made me realize that I was not the only person to suffer. The workbook outlined my problem and the relaxation tape tackled the problem."

Bill Thomas, AZ

Pastor Tim Wright"My anxiety was always at its worst when I would have to travel alone. I've made several trips since I started the program with a lot less anxiety.

What I would like others to know: Feel the fear, don't fear it. Float through it and it will go away. Healing is possible."

Pastor Tim Wright, AZ

Janet Sutton"I first heard your infomercial on television three years ago. As a result of my anxiety I had no job and I could not drive a car. I was housebound... You would not believe the person I am today because of your program. I moved from TX to RI and I have taken risks that I never imagined possible... Lucinda is my hero!

Janet Sutton, Miss Rhode Island USA

HINTS... HELPS... HOPES

A new flashcard from Mary Vogt:
Depression First Aid

Detect the feelings of depression;
Detect the melodrama
Detect the delights of life.
Dive into the deep fundamentals: fears and lessons.
Dive into the pool of positive, supportive people.
Dive into the currents of fun activities.

"For phobias, anxieties and fears, I suggest we carry a 'good luck' charm, picture or memento of something that represents familiarity and comfort, perhaps a stuffed animal, a rosary, a crystal, a piece of jewelry, etc. Practice visualizing the object helping them and guiding them. If I begin to feel frightened/body symptoms, I calmly breathe (2-4), and touch the object.

Create a peaceful environment at home: Plants, lots of plants. Plants are alive and full of energy. They create harmony, balance and peace. Fountains, you can buy a small one and put it in the bedroom, or any other room you care to. The sound of water is very soothing and calming. Wind chimes, hang them outside your windows or in front of a fan. Flood your senses with peace. Alive and on purpose,

A. Michael, MD
